Steve O'Brien

Steve has held a number of roles and responsibilities throughout his career. As a former member of the Royal Australian Navy, Steve has the experience and discipiline to deliver project outcomes with military precision. Steve is a member of the fire industry technical commitiee TC/11 - Special Hazard Protection Systems, and an author of a number of specialist whitepapers and articles. Steve is regulary invited to speak on process improvement, management planning and 5S+S a structured methodology for quality management systems.

As the manager of emergency systems for the former govermnet maintenance enterprise, Steve was responsible for the delivery of periodic inspection, testing and maintenance of safety systems for Commonwealth Government assets including Telstra, Department of Defence, Australia Post, and the Department of Vetrans Affairs, and the Australian Taxation Office.

Steve’s current role is to effectively manage service delivery on behalf of Maintenance Essentials that includes the day-to-day delivery of both scheduled inspection & testing and repairs.
